Yes, it is an autodigitizing program! Creative DRAWings® can be as easy or as involved as you need it to be. It is great for the beginner and can still challenge the advanced user. It depends on the software installed on your computer. Some software programs include a Thumbnail or Icon Viewer that shows a picture, not just a list or icons. If you do not have a Thumbnail Viewer, you will still see a picture of the file you select in the Preview window at the lower left below the list of designs in the file.

With Creative DRAWings®, you can create original embroidery designs, use existing artwork (clipart) to create embroidery designs, or edit existing embroidery designs. You do not need to use the Wings’ modular® Basic for these functions, but you can use Wings’ modular® in tandem with the designs you create or edit in Creative DRAWings®.

The sewing simulator is in the Wings’ basic module included with your Creative DRAWings® installation.

1. With a design on your workspace in Creative DRAWings®, go to File>Export>To Editor, or use the shortcut Ctrl+E
2. When Wings opens, look for a blue circle with an I in it on the far right-hand side of the top tool bar (Design Info icon). Go to the icon that looks like a blue piece of paper (one icon to the left). This is the Show Filled Outlines icon. Click to uncheck.
3. Move one icon to the left, which is the Show up to Cursor icon, and click on it. (It looks like zigzag stitches with a small cross at the top). The circle with a red dot in it is the first stitch of the design and the icon that looks like a street barrier sign is the last stitch point.
4. To remove the remaining images, press and hold the Alt key on your keyboard, and then press the number one (1).
5. On the top toolbar you will see green arrows pointing right, and brown arrows pointing left. . (They look like the controls on your VHS or DVD player.) The green arrows move you forward while the brown arrows move backward through the design.
6. Using the mouse, place the cursor on one of the toolbar arrows and hold down the left button.
7. You can also use your keyboard arrows to move forward (right arrow) or backward (left arrow). Use the up arrow to move forward by objects in the design or the down arrow to move backward.
